Hello (: Okay, i'm here to inform you all something regarding the class BBQ. Do you guys still remember about the name list that was passed around and you all wrote down the days that you are free on? I have already counted the number of people and I suspect some of you didn't write down right? Anw, the results are:

Sat (31 Oct) : 11 people

Sun (1 Nov) : 17 people

Mon (2 Nov) : 18 people

Tue (3 Nov) : 10 people

Wed (4 Nov) : 21 people

Thu (5 Nov) : 10 people
Fri (6 Nov) : 12 people

Sat (7 Nov) : 9 people

As you can see, the most "popular" dates are 1st, 2nd and 4th Nov so the class bbq will most probably be held on these days. But, this is still NOT confirmed yet. We will discuss more about this on Tue, we can't delay anymore as holidays are coming and Mdm Jaafar hopes that we can finish this asap. Meanwhile, I hope everyone can brainstorm about the venue for bbq, inform Jana or me if you have anything for the class. I think it will be better if we can go to someone's condo as chalets are kind of expensive and its not worth it, but please ask your parents for permission first.

Back. AMANDA WOON HERE! (oi clap la!) yesyesyes. I shall tell you about the MacRitchie stuff here. All the things Raymond and my group discussed with Mrs Lau the other day.

Details:
3 Sept, Thursday.
After school till about... 6?
MacRitchie la.

Yeap, Firstly, you're supposed to be warned about the
monkeys.

Do NOT bring your carrot cake or hokkien mee, whose foods that have super a lot of smell.
Do NOT wander off alone. These monkeys often come in groups. We don't want you kidnapped and seen with them the next time we go there, do we?
Do NOT feed the monkeys at any point of time, of hold any food/chips/plastic bag or whatever in your hands. There's an 80% chance they would come and snatch it away. So please be smart and not put your phone or ipod inside.
If the monkeys approach you, open up your palms to show there's nothing in them. And not like i didn't warn you about holding anything in your hand. Cause if you do have something in them, Good Game hon.
Don't be a goon and go pat their heads or try to kidnap their babies. Later king kong come and find you ah... you D.I.E (I know im very lame okay. D:)
Don't litter, they'll think its food.

Attire/ Things to bring

Girls- do NOT wear your skirt. Later the monkeys come upskirt you not my problem hor.
Track pants/school shorts/ FBTs ( to be confirmed, but 80% can ah.)
Track shoes/ school shoes/ sports shoes.
No sandals or slippers allowed
Hat/ Fan
CLASS TEE SHIRT! ( so we can spot you easily if you get lost. HAHAAA)

Insect repellant. Its like a jungle in there i tell y0u. K fine, it is. So common sensically, jungle= insect haven.
Personal medication ( Asthma inhaler, blabla, etc.)
Small props- we'll be having some dress up thing. Prizes awarded ( not a handshake). :D

Here's a little brief description:

Our school bags will be left in school, so it is advisable for you to bring an extra mini bag or something to put the things you wanna bring to MacRitchie inside. Transportation is provided to and fro from school.

The whole trail would probably take forever, so please don't let down your hair or bring an empty bottle. First part of the trail, you guys would have to split into groups of about 5 plus minus. That trail would take about 2 hours. CHOSE WISELY.

Then we'll have the Je-dunnowhat tower. We'll be hosting our dressing competition there. If we have sufficient time, we'll do the tree topwalk. Which i think is really nothing much, but oh well. The bridge would probably break with 40 of us on top anyway.

K, thats about it. Ask any of us -James, Raymond, Wil, Chin Rong, Heidi, Mook, Amanda.W- for any other enquiries. Amanda.L and Nigel didn't attend the briefing, so i don't think they know whats going on. And if you have any medical problems, please inform either one of us before hand. It'll be kept P&C ( private and confidential. I think its super cool to use codes).

YAY, im done. I feel like a geek man. Computers are not good. Don't let your life revolve around it. :D Oh, and i bought a new shirt and im super happy. I don't look fat in it! YAY!. hahahhha. k bye! love ya'll

1 Faith, those who have not paid for the class tee, PLEASE kindly make the payment by Monday, or else you wont be able to collect your shirt. You guys will receive your shirts on Monday, so when do you all prefer?
1. After PE, get changed, go back to class and I give out.
2. After PE, go back to class, take your shirt, get changed and go for recess.
3. After school, outside the science lab.

I think 1 and 2 are better. I will see how it goes, maybe ask Mdm Jaafar first or what.

Format

1. Cover Page:

Title for cover page will be Design And Technology: Photo Holder Design Journal
The cover page should include your Name, Index number and Class
You will have to find an interesting picture that relates to the theme to form part of the cover page

2. Content Page:

This will be the page that comes after the cover page
Content page will consists of: Design brief, design specification, research and investigation, ideas, evaluation, do include the page number of the different part of the journal

3. Design Brief:

This is a simple and clear statement explaining what is wanted or needed. (If I can remember, it is 'To design and make a _____________.")

4. Design specification:

5 design specifications are required in this Design journal

5. Research and investigation:

Based on your design brief, print/draw/cut a minimum of 4 types of photo holders that you have found from your research via Internet/Magazine/Newspaper/etc.
Each of these examples should have comments based on users and functions

6. Ideas:

Based on your specification draw a minimum of 4 ideas
Write short notes to explain or describe each of your idea
Indicate your chosen idea
Give 2 reasons why this is your chosen idea

7. Reference:

Indicate the source of information that you have used when working on the Design Journal.

Presbyterian High closes for a week after teacher contracted H1N1

SINGAPORE: Channel NewsAsia understands Presbyterian High has become the first school to close all classes because one of its teachers had contracted the H1N1 virus.

The infected teacher had attended a staff meeting on Friday.

And as a precaution, all teaching staff are now required to stay at home and monitor their health.

The school has already contacted several students about the closure.

Online lessons will start on Monday and the school will reopen on 6 July.

When Channel NewsAsia reporter visited the school, the staff were seen making calls in the general office.

Schools in Singapore are set to re-open on Monday after a month of holidays.

HEY GUYS!

Uhm yeah, hope ya'll been havin a fun Holiday. :D

Okay yeah, straight to th topic for a beat-around-the-bush like me is , hard, i guess. But anywhhoots, class tee. I'm not too sure if Jana had it cancelled, but apparently, th uncle didn't call. It was supposedly supposed to be done by 2nd or 3rd June so we could pass it to Mr.Wang on th 5th.

Deepest apologies, really. I would really have wanted him to have it before he left our school! ): but I really don't know how lor. And they STILL haven't called. Its th 8th right now, and Jana just got back i think. So yeap, i'll check with her ( if i remember) :D.

And yeah, i know that there are a bunch of you who are unhappy with th price and colour and stuff, but hey darlings, ya'll should have spoken up earlier. While Jana was going through the colour and all, not everyone participated. So i think it was pretty hard for her as well. And everytime we decide on a certain colour, a FEW of you here and there won't be happy with it.

Haha, sorry for th harshness(thats why i have my haha), but yeah. I don't think we'll be able to suit EVERYBODY'S wants. And i think it was already very nice of Jana to bother helping us get the order. And it wasn't her fault when the price was increased. It was th uncle, who had a sudden change. The dry-fit issue, i really don't know. haha

Many would argue that she should have discussed it with us first, but we've been dragging this for the past of forever, and continually putting the blame on Jana, that i THINK ( correct me if i'm wrong hon. :D) Jana was on quite a lot of stress from us. So yeah, I WANNA SAY A BIG THANKS TO JANA FOR HELPING US ORDER! :D I'm not some bitchy hypocrite, so its genuine lor. :D

Haha, right now, maybe we should just pray hard that th order was cancelled. If that happens to be the situation, then i hope you guys would really REALLY voice out your opinions on the class tee, give suggestions and all. Don' be afraid of rejection or anything. Take this as a small stepping stone or something. I mean, everyone's bound to face some sort of rejection in life later on right?

SO YEAP. Thats about it. PRAY HARD ITS CANCELLED K? But don't bring your hopes too high either hor. MUST BE FLEXIBLE :D. haha. And orange isn't all that bad! Think positive, its quite a happy colour! (: And dry fit, although you pay more, THINK POSITIVE, that it'll be quite comft as well. :D hahha, alright, let's try looking at different perspectives yeah? Love ya'll heaps.

like wtbleh, its gonna be June and even the DESIGN isn't confirmed. As in, the back part of the design. Not even the colour. If Grey is too dull, red is too bright, blue won't go well, white will get dirty, then how to make? If one or two people don't like the colour, then because of that, we can't get it done, then its gonna be major inconsiderate, seriously. Unless you have a PHOBIA of it, then no choice la.

BUT WHO CAN HAVE PHOBIAS OF COLOUR? Ohmygosh lor i tell you. This is so depressing i can cry. T.T Actually green can lorrr. Why you all don't want? Its like, a unisex colour ley. You know our class doors, the teal colour also can what. :D Mr wang is leaving in two damned weeks and not even our COLOUR is settled. Ah geez. sorry for the harshness, this is seriously chissing me off. I still need to go check the price and sizes and then confirm with ya'll and then go back and order and go back and collect ley. And its not like i stay close to any of those malls. -.-

HEY YA'LL.

I went to Chinatown today, and i saw this shop that sold Printed tees. It costs around 12 bux each, but the lady said that if the imprint came out on grey, the print's quality won't be as nice. But she said if it came out on white, it would be a lot better, quality wise. And i seriously don't know what the colour has got to do with th quality of the shirt.

But yeah, i'll try checking up on Queensway and see if they can do it our style in a good quality and cheap price. The Design's confirmed alr right? hehs.

And if you have any of those syptoms, please, please stay at home and not come to school. For our sake. And yeah, try to vsit a doctor within th first 48 hours. The newspaper says that if you get it treated within th first 48 hours of its infection, you should get cured. Seriously, dont go out. I don't wanna die so young. And just a note. Honestly, it's very annoying for people to complain about the shirt, when they don't do or suggest anything to help! Please please please, if you want to complain, at least give us some IMPROVING comments or suggestions to improve the shirt. No one is stopping you. What annoys us the most is if you complain complain complain but can't even create a shirt on your own. If you really like nothing about the design, then put up your own and let's see which the class prefers. It's really that easy, just create your own and poll. But what irks us the most is if you don't do anything to help at all. It's unhelpful and complaining really doesn't make the shirt better. Btw, I mean COMPLAINING. Not comments etc. Complaining as in whining about how the shirt doesn't look nice enough etc.

We got Silver ! YAY! So sad i must skip school just to help the SYF. I came to school 6 am. Go ride lorry to the hall. The percussion people damn funny sia. They all go greet uncle and aunties passing by. make us look like crazy freaks. Reached the hall . THE Chr people damn irritating lerhhs. Then we went to perform after CHR .Although this was not my first time. When i brought the instruments out, i was like "omg omg people looking! must not make mistakes" It was so scary. Had a good experience. and does the Mdm Juliana Jaafar really look like me? cool le. she can be my triplet haha. now i got 3 chlones except one was born with me but the other just coincidentally looked like me. She scared my big when she came into the Art Class. and yay i had no HE today . kekekkee . why cant there be performance like every Tuesday first period? lol. Is this taking up too much space? sorry. now is 11pm and i so sien. bye bye. enjoy reading though there is nothing more to read. BYE!

Today was the Home Econs pupils' last day of practical! Means no more stepping into the kitchen! It also meant our practical exam. Everyone did well despite the (heavy) fog from everyone's stove! Hahaha. I only managed to get pictures of some peoples' dishes, but enjoy though! DnT pupils, THIS IS THE FUN YOU'RE GONNA GO THROUGH! Hahaha. I know I know, no handphones allowed, yes no? But Mdm Afrose allows. And yeah, I edited the pictures to make them brighter (blame my handphone's lousy camera!) so it might look a bit blurred out because I was in a hurry to take 'em to wash my dishes. Hahah, sorry!

I believe there are like, many out there who are against one faith or something. But yeah, i'm sure every class would have their good and bad sides. Some of us here , really, are innocent. And i don't really know how this little class war started ( i'm so outdated right, haha), but yeah. Would you please understand us, and not bring the whole class into the picture? Cause it kinda burdens me to see classes being separated already, and its only th start of the second term.

In fact right, i believe you guys prolly only dislike one or two people from here. And i do believe its rather personal. NPCC: Add your new I.Cs on msn, because so far only I added Min Min Ma'am. LOL. This wednesday no parade but friday have parade. Followed by dragon boating on saturday. Shiok. Time to get cramps again. And also return the contact list back to your sec 3 I.Cs.

Temporary skin because the other was burning my eyes and no one switched after like.. a month, haha. I saved the old skin codes so anytime you find you'd like that, you can ask it from me. And, change this skin if you want. Anything will do. :)

For the 'about' section, I didn't really know some of your CCAs, so I left it blank. Go and check or if you know the ccas of which are blank, note me.

Oh and s/n: Other classes are disliking our class by one person's rude comments on the classes. I hope that this person might feel the hint and change. We don't mind if your own reputation is down but this concerns the whole class. They don't take that one person but take it as '1 Faith'. So please please, do not heavily insult another class. A joke is fine, a little teasing here and there, playing here and there is fine but don't flame/scold another class. It is not nice. I alr explained to my friend, because there has been issues that 1H is disliking our class. But its resolved now so.. yeah, bye.

Wtf please. This is a blog. Not some blog where you can show you're very good at arguing. Please please stop the vulgarities. Its not very pleasing to us rather than it is to others.
